Given, David Roger

David Roger GivenDavid Roger Given ( Nelson , 8 as November as 1943 - 27 as November as 2005 ) was a botanist , and pteridólogo New Zealand . He had a passion for ferns , becoming an authority. He agreed in 2003 to the post of services botanical curator of the Botanical Garden of Christchurch .

In 1962 , he graduated from the University of Canterbury with a first-class botany degree. He worked until his retirement in 1996 at the Forest Research Institute in New Zealand .
